Goodbye
Bright pastels of pretty lies
Stream down the face you once touched
With soft hands.
Dark thoughts evolve...
They break their cruel cocoons taking flight
And changing to words that shatter
The heart you once loved so well.
Your little clown is crying...
His painted face is fading.
A numbing reality changes mind
And time forever.
The questions in his eyes can't find the answers in your voice.
The critic in you gives him lonely reviews.
And you chase him from the stage,
But still you cry for the play.
Actors acting up....
Songs singing themselves
And singers searching for work.
Lovers leaving love for something
A little lonelier.
And I simply disappear
From the face
Of the Earth.

Where there is nothing left,
But scared heart,
Mind and self expression.
My heart has turned
