In the power of global corporatism Americans and the democracy have blundered into perennial global indebtedness. Critical revision of the macro-economic policy of the people and the nation are inadequate, politicians and public analysis are seconded to corporate broadcast media sychophancy oif the absolute interests found in the classess of corporate ownership. The best talk radio can do is put up high school graduate 'hosts' that know who butters their bread...wealthy globalists powers that would cancel their talk radio existence if they became environmentalists and U.S. nationalists. Who besides philosophers have the intelligence and independence, willingness or ability to comprehend the maladroit direction the United States has taken in slipping into corporatist control?-The rhetorical point should not exclude the fact that there are select economists-some with a doctor of philosophy degree, that for a decade have accurately described the U.S. economic malformation under corporatism's influence.
The U.S. Congress has passed a law putting it in effect into the used car business of buying 'clunkers' with low gas mileage. What better idiocy in public finance needs to be made to show that America needs more philosophers to consider the business of democracy? Buying used cars will reduce supply of cars and increase demand for new car purchases. With Congress in the car production business soon through G.M. the half-wits in government have decided to borrow money from abroad to try to increase the miles per gallon rating of the entire U.S. auto inventory. The plan is daft and environmentally destructive. Like the expensive tarp plan to bail pout the rich and corrupt the congress is becoming supporter of the rich and corrupt on borrowed money. Natural selection must exist at the corporate level such that dinosaurs of fossil fuel and crooked lending practices are allowed to bite the dust giving some advantage in theory to the intelligent rather than upon the dumb, wicked and crooked if not sedulous. A philosopher can explain all this and more to stupid, corrupt elected officials given the opportunity. Someone could write an essay for Congress on 'Why Congress should not buy used cars'.
Typically nations disappear by their leadership selling them out or by foreign invasion-Toynbee's Study of History with its inventory of the ascent, decline and fall of civilizations is appropriate study material for the radical changes the United States is experiencing economically
