However, if there is no database information labeling can be done manually. If a track is not needed it can be deselected before grabbing the remaining audio tracks.
An additional software option that can be used to copy and convert an audio CD into MP3 files is dBpoweramp Music Converter. This program was once offered free to use but now is offered via a twenty-one day trail before a purchase is necessary to continue using it. This program is similar to other MP3 converter programs that are available. After installing the program use the Audio CD Input option to convert tracks from an audio CD. When a CD is inserted into the drive on the computer the program connects to an online database to retrieve track and artist data. Individual tracks can be unchecked if they do not need to be converted into MP3s.
When a CD has been copied and converted into MP3 files they can they be transferred to virtually any portable music player. MP3 files can also be stored on a portable storage device such as a flash drive as well as burned to a CD or DVD disk. There are many benefits to using MP3 files after they have been copied and converted from an audio CD.
