Poetry: I do not cry

by Claude Beavers

Created on: April 09, 2009

You say mean things and I keep my self undisturbed

You try to cause an emotion but I act like Mr. Spock

I always remain unperturbed

I won't show any shock

Never a tear

No weakness will you induce in me

I have shoulders broad and like a rock

I'm thoughtful and steadfast you'll see

I am the leader of my flock

Never a tear

I've seen death destruction and wounded men

I keep my thoughts clear no matter the threat

I write my plans with paper and pen

I stifle my emotions and I show it with sweat

never a tear

I cry for nobody no matter what

I must be strong to lead the way

on close relations the door I have shut

I carry on no matter the melee

never a tear

My body worn and about to expire

Nobody cares

Alone now without power or fire

very scared

never a tear
