TRANSCENDANCE
Consider
The rippling waves of spacetime
And pure probability
The quantum foam
Coalescing into
Dancing, spinning
Particles
Enmeshed within
Orbits/clouds/shells
Encapsulated as miniscule atoms
Bound together into
Perfect crystalline molecules
So simple and so complex
Self assembling into
Cellular factories
Burning chemical fuel
Manufacturing DNA tools
Working together to form
Bones and muscles
A beating heart
A fragile confection of
Chemicals and electricity
That interprets the photons and the phonons
Forming a virtual reality
And a mind to perceives it
Describes it with words and meaning
Ideas and concepts
Theories and systems
Poetry
Plans and takes action
Moving the organs by moving the cells by moving the proteins by moving the atoms by moving the probability waves by moving
To survive and prosper
To learn and create
To seek out life, and civilization
To interact with these bundles of atoms
Separate yet equal
In an endless and intricate dance
A society
An ecology
An economy
A technocracy
Forever evolving from a lone replicator to a unity beyond time, space, and meaning
Preceded by a thousand times a million times a billion instants of unknown existence
Coating the surface of a ball of molten rock
Following the path of least resistance
Around a massive nuclear furnace
Doomed to be annihilated in a mere 6 billion years
Churning in a whirlpool of terrible dark energies
Around an unknowable devouring maw
Rushing every instant toward some distant rendezvous
With its billions of stellar brothers and sisters
A mere speck within a cosmos so enormous
Light itself cannot illuminate the boundaries
Inflated beyond the realm of conception
A mere reflection of a holographic surface
A barest possibility among infinite parallel worlds
Which embody but a single potential configuration
Of the manifold laws of reality
Implied by the ultimate mathematical equation
The Unified Theory of Everything
...
What need have I
Of a fragment of wishful thinking
A child-god djinni of desert nomads
Dreamed a thousand years gone by
To experience transcendance?
It's all around me
Every instant
Being

Science
Is a tool of life
That keeps on developing
Moving us
To understand
The womb of
Mother nature
Bringing us
More close
NO LONGER NEEDED
(when a rounded belly becomes a crime)
It's past midnight,
samples of uterine tissue
regenerate in a quiet
In search of Plasma
There is frustration.
The bright flares of life, coming and going.
Extinction.

The Scientist and the Poet
Science is dogmatic,
And to argue, sour grapes
So, then, the ardent scientist
Does list us with
There is a draw in the cosmos.
A science to the stars.
Twilight of demension.
Dreams to fill the yards.
While a dogmatic future.
