Poetry: A love turned cold

by Jeanette Huston

Created on: April 09, 2009

It's over.
In all my life I never.
Thought it would be this way.
After all the things he'd say.
I just want to know why he went away.
Completely is all I ever wanted for me.
The way I wanted love to be.
It's over.
Forever's a word I never knew.
What can I do I'm broken in two.
Threw these eyes I find my lies.
How can I hide these eyes?
Love is torn and all is worn in these eyes.
The way I need to feel something real for these eyes.
It's over!
He's with her and I'm alone.
It's over!
This is the way it's got to be.
How can you keep someone who wants to be free?
It's over!
Over, done, gone, off, finished, over, I've just begun.
It's over!
