Leave Me Alone
I needed a shoulder to cry on, someone to talk to.
That someone was you,
A stranger of the night,
I know what I did wasn't right.
I led you on because I needed to be held tight,
Though now I am filled with fright.
The booze took over and began to create..
A sincere injustice of fate.
I never meant for you to get serious about me.
I only needed comfort couldn't you see.
But now I am scared I hide out of the light.
Because I stole your heart last night.
You're girl you now want me to be.
But, I have to be free.
I can only see hurt in a relation,
For I have been through that situation.
I truly meant for no harm,
With my intoxicated charm.
To being your girl I must object.
My feelings, only hurt do they reflect.
My feelings for you were only that of need.
My conscience I failed to heed.
Now your heart I have torn
Causing you great scorn.
I ask only that you understand my tone.
I just want you to leave me alone.

Privileged eyes neither compassionate nor aware
No one sees the devastation
A shoulder to cry on is what I will offer you...forever
You live far away, our paths no longer cross, however, you know that
I will give you a shoulder to cry on,
A shoulder that's firm to your touch,
A friend you can love and rely on,
When everything's
