I think of mojitos and
My girls
Sarah's smile against the pink sunset
And empty bars.
I think of green upon blue and
Fear and fascination wrapped into one
Of water and expanse and dogs everywhere
Of laughter and friendship and
Love.
I dream of this utopia where
Bears roam and my
best girls live right next door.
Where dogs go into bars and the wild
Is still the wild.
I think this dull ache in my heart
Lapses when I am there
Under big skies and
Drinking mojitos by day
Soaking by night.
And I think of the day you said,
"Let's just go,"
And we didn't.
Wondering forever if my perfect life
Could just be
My imagination.
