Poetry: God's will

by Marlene Bricker

Created on: April 08, 2009

As I awaken every day,

Your will be done, I hear me say.

Whatever you wish for me I will do.

I am waiting to be instructed by you.

I say,

Everyday.

As the day moves along

I loudly hear another song.

Hmm. Why is this happening to me?

I do not want this in my life. How can it be?

Perhaps we could perhaps negotiate a change?

Just a little something. We could rearrange......

Then, I remember so ever clear

The words i spoke in the morning without any fear.

Now, even before the end of the day

I took back the words I so wanted to say!

O. K. I will give it another try.

Your will not mine my heart utters the cry!
