As adults most of us have lost that precious and divine gift of envisaging. It is a gift from the Creator, because of its power to transport to seemingly impossible realms of consciousness. As a child you thought little of pretending to be some earth-shaking creature capable of picking up the earth with your bare hands and giving it a spin or two, but as you aged and became more "civilized" you started injecting your own limited thinking and accordingly became limited.
If you question whether you have the ability to be transported, think back to the last novel you read that completely captivated you. Remember how spell bounded you were and by anyone's estimation, you were right there in the center of all the action. You could not turn the pages fast enough as you allowed the writer to guide you speedily along to the next scene, the next thrilling action and the next chapter. That is how you should live your life; you should always be in rapt suspense, wondering what excitement and challenges the next chapter in your life will bring.
Feel free to give vent to your imagination in all its glory so that you can maximize your creativity. Release the mindset of that inner child and see where it takes you. You will soon discover that your inner child may still have the urge to pick up the earth and give it a whirl, but you know that is not possible, but you do know you are not limited in the number of things you can do on planet earth. Therefore, allow your inner child to provide ideas and inspiration and let the adult in you create the impossible and execute to fruition.
It was not long ago that I sat wondering how to go about changing an unpleasant situation in my life, even though I believe ostensibly it would be impossible. One day I emptied my mind of all conscious thoughts except for what was happening in that moment; I allowed it to take control and fully explore the situation so that I could understand why and how things were happening and what actions I should take to make them better. What happened was truly amazing, without effort my mind took me to the start of the problem and progressed to that moment, but there were no immediate insights. I refused to be frustrated or deterred because I believed the exercise was worth the effort if nothing else but to experience and bask in the calmness I felt.
Several nights later, my inner child emerged and wanted to play all types of games even though I could barely keep my eyes open. So rather than fight sleep, I lay quietly with my eyes closed and watched as the playful scenes unfold and then it hit me. It was giving me my answers in almost a somewhat parabolic manner. I jumped out of bed and started writing furiously as the answers came to me as though I was taking dictation. When I finished writing, I lay back down and my next awareness was the streaks of sunlight filtering through the apertures of the mini blinds in my bedroom. I felt an amazing sense of release and comfort.
Release your inner child today and start living the life you deserve. I tend to believe that inner child or imagination or voice we often hear is God telling us which road to take. Many times we ignore it and put ourselves in peril by doing things our way. So start invoking your inner child and ask it to help you make a plan for your life; it might not respond immediately, but I can assure you, you will receive your answers. However, it is important that you be prepared to listen and to obey; you will never be sorry.
