Although it is almost impossible to accurately compare Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii, it is possible to compare the games offered for each platform.

Technology aside, it would seem that so far the Wii has better games. You can play the older games on the PlayStation 3, but what fun is that? You've just spent a hefty amount for a new platform, so why play old games?

Critics generally focus on the price for each system. The Wii is cheaper, yet the PlayStation 3 is more powerful. But again, out of the box, which are you able to have more fun with? Most will say the Wii; it has a unique controller, and more interesting games. That isn't to say it will always be like this. The PlayStation 3 has plenty of time to start offering new and more exciting games than the ones that are selling now, but it seems Nintendo has had a head start. They're already selling more games for the Wii, bringing in new customers because of it.

To be able to compare two completely different game systems, you have to break it down into simplest terms, and I think that would be the games. Not graphics, not power, but which offers more interesting game play. And for me, that the Nintendo Wii.
