The importance of maintaining your computer

Created on: April 08, 2009

Your computer might be running perfectly today but tomorrow I am sure it will not run that smoothly because the computer is a machine that just wears out it's software just by running. The problem is that the software inside it is so complex that no matter how good it becomes it will always have one errors or another. The best way to get rid of these issues is to make regular maintenance to your computer.

You should start by correcting your system register. This is probably the most important part of all operating system because it's the core of it. You cannot see it but it's there all the time being updated in real time time and looking at every step you take on your computer. Your system register will also have there many entries about software you already deleted but that it's still there for no reason... Some software can repair it for free. The best I know is Ccleaner. This software will clean your register with just a click of a button. However you must be advised that as soon as you clean it the register will get another series of mistakes. You must run it at least once per week. I had my computer for a whole year and never used it before. Now I am using it every week.

Next thing on the list of your attention needs is the hard disk. This is the most important part of your entire computer. If the entire computer crashes but you still have the hard disk you are safe because all you need to do is to install it on another computer and then you are done.

The hard disk needs two things: Cleaning and organizing. The first one is very easy. Ccleaner will take care of your hard disk like no other tool. It will clean all the files that are there using your precious hard disk space and then will delete all the files in programs that are there just temporarily but for a long time now.

This tool can also remove the software out of your computer much faster and better than Windows default tool can. This tool is so good that I do not understand why it's still free!

Next thing you need to do is to organize your hard disk. Power Defragmentation is a great hard disk defragmentation tool that does just one thing: Making your hard disk run at top speed all the time. The process of defragmentation is very slow. Sometimes it can take several hours, but the end result is worth it.

Finally it's up to you to delete some files you are not currently using. The more files you have on your hard disk, the slower it will become and the more errors and crashes you will experience.
