I am glad that I came across this topic. "Seven Pounds" was the most unusual movie that I have ever seen. I have always thought that Will Smith was an excellent actor and he proved it once again in this movie. The scene with Woody Harrelson was excellent. The movie was challenging to watch like piecing together a puzzle. I wish that there were more movies out there like this one. What a great story line.
Will Smith has come so far from The Prince Of BelAir and that was a great show he played well in it. I love to think back at where these actors got their start and its usually a super show.
Seven Pounds was so touching and sad. With all the talk of giving back and helping others nowadays I thought this movie was really appropriate for this time. At first I was reluctant to watch the movie because I really wasn't in a movie watching mood but I'm glad I did. This topic of the story really makes you think about what a gift it is to donate your organs to others because so many lives benefit from just one human being donating.
This movie really touched me, the way Will Smith's character fixed the printing machine for his girlfriend. I also loved the part where he helped the lady in the hospital that was being given medication that made her dizzy and she was being treated poorly by the hospital administrator. The movie made you think and I like that I had to work to figure out what was going to happen. My husband had figured things out but we were both sitting in our living room absorbed in the story from beginning to end.
What I also like about this story is that there wasn't anything crude in the movie because it didn't have to have that because the story was very powerful. The girl playing Will's girlfriend was really good also. She was really convincing as a person with a heart condition. Her character made me think about how tough it would be to be young and in ill health.
I have seen quite a lot of movies in my lifetime but this one was definately worth watching and it was so different from any other movie that I'd ever watched. I also thought that the title of the movie was clever. I love watching a movie and the title ties in to the story. Title is so important to me to determine if I will be remotely interested in watching a movie.
Seven Pounds is definately a movie worth watching. If Will Smith is in a movie it's guaranteed not to disappoint. I am happy to conclude that this movie had a great beginning, middle, and end.
