How to plan an Easter egg hunt

Easter egg hunts have been a part of children's life a long time now. Well in my life time and that is 65 years now. And we all know it goes back much farther than 65 years. Parent, school teachers, your Sunday school class, and numerous other folks plan and have Easter egg hunts. This event is celebrated all over the world.

This year I decided I would have a neighborhood eater egg hunt, and this is how I have planed it. I want the children to have a marvelous and exciting fun filled afternoon, in the rolling hills of my estate. All my children are grown, that doesn't stop me from enjoying seeing children hunt easter egg. The sheer delight and excitement the children show when they find that first egg, will forever more be etched in my memory till the day I go die. That gives me so much joy, and that is what I think life is all about.

I want my Easter egg hunt to be the most outstanding hunt of the neighborhood this Easter season. So where do I start? I need to be creative with the invitations, design them with Easter themes. Shape them like eggs, bunnies, carrots, in brightly color paper, and envelopes.

It's best to start my planning three weeks before easter. This will give me enough time to design and address invitations. This also would be a wonderful family group activity, recruit husband and children for the designing of invitations and addressing envelopes. This is quality time spent with family do and time well spent.

My Easter Egg hunt will be for twenty children. Each child will be asked to bring 10 eggs a piece, for a total of 200 eggs to hide. I would give them a limit of 10 eggs each to find.

The invited children would be asked to fill the eggs with their favorite easter candies, such as small chocolate Easter eggs, jelly beans, Easter stickers, candied corn, and any other small Easter candy that would fit inside the egg.

Beautiful colored Easter baskets will be provide for the children to put the treasures they find.

To reflect on this day, I will need to have my camera available to record this event,

After the hunt, refreshments for the children and adults will be served. Strawberry cake, Ice cream , and pink lemonade is the menu for this Easter event.

This is your invitation, no RSVP required, be here Easter Sunday afternoon at 4:00PM. for the best Easter egg hunt in this neighborhood. Dress in comfortable clothes and shoes, you will be asked to hide the eggs for the children.
