down the pipe, I can feel him falling and hitting the ground because of the way it was shot. The end of the movie is fantastic. You hear the song, "Jeepers creepers, where'd you get those peepers" as Darry screams. The camera slowly comes upon Darry, dead with his eyes missing. Then you see the creeper looking through his eye sockets with Darry's eyes, insinuating that the back of his head is missing along with his brains. That'll give you shivers!
13. The Ring- The Japanese know how to make a good horror film. This film is lite on the gore and heavy on suspense. It is also very story driven. I won't forget the scene when you see, ever so briefly, Rachel's (Naomi Watts) niece dead in the closet. The look on her face will give you goose bumps.
12. Signs- M. Night Shyamalan achieved an Alfred Hitchcock style suspense with Signs. Joaquin Phoenix in the closet, watching news footage of an alien, will make you jump.
11. The Grudge- Spooky Japanese women + spooky kid = A very creepy movie. Especially with the guttural noise you hear throughout the film. One of the creepiest scenes is when the social worker (who was the first victim at the beginning of the movie) comes back to the office and slowly turns around revealing she has no jaw!
10. The Blair Witch Project- OK, this is the only movie on my list that I do not like. Why do I have it then? Because it truly is a scary movie. If you have ever been hunting or camping in the woods, then you know just how scary it can be. I have done both, and it is a creepy feeling to be alone in the woods. The woods can play tricks on you, and you can hear things and see things that aren't' there.
9. The Mist- This movie has one of the most disturbing endings I have ever seen. After running out of gas and still trapped in the mist with all these horrific creatures, the survivors have no other choice than to kill themselves. The main character, David Drayton, first turns the gun on his six year old son, and then kills the other passengers, using up all the bullets. He then gets out of the car and waits to be killed by one of the monsters, only to find the mist clearing and a military rescue convoy driving up.
8. The Hills Have Eyes- The remake is another disturbing film. The rape of one of the sisters and the killing of the two moms makes the revenge at the end of the movie fantastic. Dog eating a mutant? Too cool! I found myself in the movie, asking what I would do if this happened to my family. The answer is, kill every single one of
