wheel chair. You don't see anything except Leather-face standing in front of the guy (blocking the view of the actual killing) and shoving his chainsaw into his midsection. Boy, oh boy, the images your imagination can conjure up!

18. King Kong- The original 1933 movie is truly terrifying! The key is to watch it through the eyes of someone in 1933*. There was a good part of the world still unexplored back then. There were not satellites, no GPS, hardly any field studies on apes; making it truly plausible for an island like that to exist. The special effects were ground breaking at the time. If you pretend it's 1933, this movie will truly frighten you! * Not literally. I don't need anybody grave robbing eyballs from someone who lived in the 30s.

17. An American Werewolf in London- Werewolves are my second favorite monsters of all time, right behind zombies. This was the second werewolf movie I saw and one of the first gory movies at that. The special effects are amazing, especially the transformation scene. This movie also did an excellent job blending in comedy and horror.

16. The Birds- Alfred Hitchcock is the only person who can take birds and make them creepy.

15. Halloween- The original 1978 version. This movie does a great job at building suspense. One of my favorite scenes is the opening. You have a young Michael Myers who stalks and kills his sister. It's virtually one long, continual shot, filmed through the eyes of the killer. What I love most about the movie is its simplicity. Michael Myers in a white mask (it's actually a William Shatner mask), wearing mechanics' coveralls, and carrying a butcher knife. The plot is simple; a killer stalking babysitters. The music is crucial to the overall scariness of Halloween. Again, there is very little blood in this movie, and it is what you don't see that makes it terrifying. On a side note, Halloween, Halloween II, and Halloween H2O would make a great trilogy. All the other Halloween movies you can throw away.

14. Jeepers Creepers- Planning on taking a long drive through the country? Then don't watch this movie! If you do, watch out for old green trucks. The Creeper is one of the coolest monsters in filmdom. I love his costume. A long black trench coat and a wide brimmed hat. This movie, along with Halloween, does a superb job at building suspense. One of the creepiest scenes is when Darry and his sister see the Creeper dumping a body (wrapped up in a sheet) down a pipe. When they go to investigate, and Darry falls
