A nearly broken soul , once strong as a mighty oak is now pushed by prayer to his knees.
Praying for all this to end , for his wife and children overseas , for his brother and fallen friend.
And this savage barren sand is now inhabitated by puddles!
A family man of four , a number cruncher with the whitest of collars stares in fear at the big zero.
He's losing the final score, little faces are losing a hero ,his manhood he feels drop thru the floor.
Now a foreclosure notice and pistol lye next to him in puddles!
An eight year old child , left orphaned by two of the latest drug statistics sit's alone on a window seal.
Wishing for a rainbow , hoping for loving hearts that her eyes could steal , to another home she will go.
Two new loving hearts with a big yard , a rainbow and lots of muddy puddles!
Many puddles are good and many are bad , and in the end they all go away.

From childhood delight to adult gloom;
The puddles
