A gentle palm aside her face
Her mothers' safe and warm embrace
Satin garb against the skin
An encouraging tap upon her chin
A pat on the back for a job well done
Guiding words of learned wisdom
Healing hands on wounded knees
Fingers dance across piano keys
Hair pushed back from teary eyes
A shoulder during troubled times
A glance so slight just barely there
A smile, a kiss, a life to share
Commitment made on bended knee
A seaside kiss in a gentle breeze
Passion so great it made her cry
A song to the little life inside
Family gathered with tears of joy
Welcomed to the world, her little boy
