The computer is the best machine ever invented. This no one can contest.

What most people do not know if what the computer really is and what his invention really means.

Before the computer you already had offices. How was the business done at that time? There were no great communications, you had to send expensive letters, there was no information search much less indexing and if you wanted to have anything were to store all that information you needed to have it type written on a desk by a secretary.

Today the computer replaced the typewriter, almost replaced the desk and and even replaced the secretary. Since you can store all the information you want in the computer you no longer need the middle woman.

This was for the office. Now how have the things changed in the hospital. Today you just make your check in and you are logged on a computer. Every step you make on the hospital is recorded on a computer and on your log and profile. If something happens you are always protected. Your diagnosis is always digital and the doctor sends it to the next door by computer by email or any other professional hospital software they are using. Finally when you come out of the hospital they will store your profile for future reference.

Now let's see how those things changed.

In the past when you went to the hospital you would have to manually check on the paper and you would have to sign sometimes. You would have all your information stored in the analog way and always in the paper. When the doctor made your diagnosis he could only see it on paper and you would have to send all the papers by hand. There was no digital sharing. If you did something wrong to the papers there would be no copies!

Now let's see what changed in the school.

In the past if you wanted to do something in school you could only use the pen and the paper and there were no computers, no calculators and no special tools to help you learning.

When the teacher sent you to do some information research you would have to go to the library and then to get some books and then read them all and copy the information you agreed was the right one.

Today Google does that for you. All you need to do is to go to the internet and Google will give you everything. You no longer need to spend the whole evening in the library looking for that piece of information.

Even better is the ability to share all that information with your friends instantly.
