Poetry: Being overwhelmed

Overwhelmed, you bet I am as

I put the salt in the refrigerator,

And brushed my teeth with hand lotion.

Overwhelmed, oh yes thats me as

I backed the car out and hit a tree,

knocked over the trash cans, all three.

Overwhelmed, oh boy is that right as

I headed South when I should of gone North,

I saw a red light and just stopped short.

Overwhelmed, yes I am,

I reheated my coffee two times now,

I forgot to drink it and now its cold.

Overwhelmed, to be sure,

I put on a gray and blue sock and called it a pair.

Overwhelmed, is just the half of it,

I headed for the grocery store ,

But ended up back at my front door.

When you want to go right but instead go left,

Or you forget what you are doing or where you are going,

Are you overwhelmed by it all, I'd have to say for sure you are.
