For so many years America has been consider the land of hope and possibilities. A land where dreams come true sadly, it seems that dream is not for everyone. It was always thought if you work hard and pursue your dreams, they could come true in America. People have come from all over the world to seek out the dream. They come to America for improving not only their life but also their future generations. However, dream has been more of a nightmare to a good number of people. See from afar it looks like America has everything to offer and do not get me wrong it is understandable seeing how other countries are. What is not understood is that America has committed many transgressions against it own people not to mention its past wrongdoing to certain people has made it very hard for people to achieve the dream.
Now naturally when I speak of the transgressions and wrongs it done slavery comes to mind. However, we need not go as far back as slavery because the America dream was being hinder from people long before slavery hit the for front. Yes, slavery hinders a whole group of people but that group was not the only group hinder. Although we will not even go that far back and speak on the present. The truth of the matter it not one particular group as far as race I speak of. Now it should be noted that most minority never had the full access to achieve their dreams. However, the a great number of American people in general no matter what race never had the opportunity to achieve the dream. The dream comes down to the haves and the have not.
No matter how you want to say that in today times, everyone has the same opportunities for success. We all know that is farthest from the truth. It truly goes by the success of your past generation, which for the most part in the current state of America is becoming null and void. Let think back to when an immigrant or American with little to no education could find a good job to support their family. They could open business that was very successful. So naturally, it would be assume if a little to non-educated person could obtain the dream in the past that their future educated generations would surpass the dream. Well the sad truth is this is not the fact it to the point now that it does not matter how much educations you have you still have a good chance of falling victim to the American nightmare. Leaving people who have limited educations or no education at all only option to live the nightmare to it full
