"Pity Meets the 21st Century"

Save your pity, my good friend
For I really must confess...
I'm both master and creator
Of this, my present mess

I've cheated on my taxes
And robbed you of your wealth
Now the IRS is seeking me,
And I did it to myself

I've feasted at McDonald's
And put on twenty pounds
Now, really, don't pray for my knees
'cause I can't get around

Someone took my Maserati
Because of my neglect
See, I couldn't make the payments
So what should I expect?

I've been kicked out of my mansion
And lost all that I hold dear
For I tried to own the world
On my thirty-thou a year

I'm a victim of my vanity,
And you must ignore my plea
I have you fighting for survival,
And you shouldn't pity me.
