Ambition
Let's hurt each other
On the Merry-Go-Round Love
Painted with kisses and lies.
Let's move to a town
We have never been
And run for Mayor.
We can sit with friends
We have never met
And make up stories about
The Good Old Days.
Let's open a drug store
And hang a sign
In the window that says:
"Just Say No."
Surely we could Dodge a cold Draft
When a Blue Norther comes to call.
And then maybe
We can just be ourselves.

Held warm and safe in trust's embrace,

Confusions, thunderous booms, echoing cries,
Blood soaked battlefields, smoking
Zeroed.
The dark wave rolls slowly over me,
Plummeting me way and far too deep.
My eyes shut tight, I see mosaic
But the wave
Always moving, always changing
Drowning in chaos, frantically spinning
Tearing me to pieces, I'm all alone
No one to trust,
