Poetry: Ancient cities

by Timothy Edward Jones

Created on: April 06, 2009

A Night In Heidelberg

I want to gulp you.

I nedd to drink from you.

Your flowing flowering fountain

Runs over as you breathe me.

Your heaving breasts seesaw

And I push further,

Licking away our fears.

A great novel not yet written by Pat Conroy

Flashes through my mind.

An ancient language passes from your lips

Before wrapping them around me.

Only lonesome soulscould touch your body,

And yet I reach your sould with every thrust.

An early German summer evening ,

A bottle of Tennessee bourbon

Make an intriguing combination

And we are the mysterious

Ingredients.

You have one hand on my wallet.

I have one heart beating against your chest.
