Owing a computer is a must these days.

Let's start from the last thing.

Imagine you have a lot of information and you need to manage it all. How will you do it? In the past you would manually write down all that information on a piece of paper and then you would expect it to work for you. The problem was when you had huge amounts of information and you needed to search them immediately. When you had more than 100 pages things were becoming a problem. Then with more than 1000 pages things were a real problem.

Today all you need is to pick a scanner and allow your computer to digitalize all that information and then to save it on a .TXT format or any other format you prefer. This is the best way to have all the information in your computer. If you want to take the next step I would recommend you to save it on the HTM format so you can publish it on the web and have Google indexing it.

With the information in the digital way on your computer you can let the Windows or Google Desktop index it and then all you need to do is to search anything you want immediately. There is no better way so far. you can search Billions of documents as fast as you type and you will get the results before you finish what you are typping. This is because the computer will only search the index rather than searching the entire content of it. This makes the search one million times faster than having to search all the hard disk when you want to find anything like you used to have to do in Windows XP.

Information search and management are not the only good things you can do with the computer. You can also listen to music on it. This seems like a very basic and no important feature, but if you consider that music was only possible to be heard on the big CD Players you now see how important it is to have Media Player on your machine. With the new MP4 format you can have endless hours of music that you will never get tired of listening to it. With the MP4 format with just 1 GB you can have music for almost an entire year if you never stop playing it.

Communications are probably the most important computer advantage. You need to have your people talking to you all the time and the best way to do it is with email and MSN. Computers and internet make it possible and free, in exchange for advertisements. The business works because they make more money out of advertisements than out of people itself if they paid for it.

And finally you can have the computer to store all your photos this way! The photos will never get used or damaged because the computer data lasts forever if you store them in the right place.
