Poetry: Wild & free

by Scott Scherr

Gypsy Caravan

They wander the wilds, trade in worries for smiles,
And forget those sad trails far behind them.
Somewhere on the way, finding new songs to play,
With no need to keep up with world's blind men.

Free to dance close to flight by the fireside light,
Where humanity shines close to Eden.
Consider this chance to enlighten your stance,
Walk softly, soul born of new meaning.

Cast all cares from the heart, light them up with a spark,
Of compassion, at last, finally free.
Come to know your dear brothers and sisters of man,
On the road where all children can see.

Gypsy caravan blows from someplace to somewhere,
Wild and free far from lands of despair.
