Poetry: Ancient cities

Atlantis Rising...

In turquoise dreams an underwater scene
reveals the deepest secrets of the sea
a city draped in golden finery
reflects in hues of soft aquamarine

Lost to the world Atlantis lies in wait
its treasures never touched by modern hand
once touted as the finest in the land
now biding time 'til Man decides its fate

If humankind can learn to understand
the precious gift this ancient city holds
as evolutionary path unfolds
we may well see it rise up from the sand

Enlightened beings built a world of peace
to gain entrance our stubborn ways must cease
