Delicate as morning dew
on fresh new buds in spring
her caring hands react on cue
in their delivering
of endless love and nurturing
of guidance great and small
of tireless encouragement
and kindness most of all
They shape and mold so tenderly
with patient tolerance
impart their wisdom openly
from life experience
Instinctively her hands comply
they never grasp or clutch
but unconditionally supply
a mothers gentle touch
