Though aristocracy might say,
With haughty countenance of scorn,
Lesser beings have no class,
Just those who were to the manor born.
Others feel an education,
With a prestigious Ivy League degree,
From Princeton, Yale or Harvard,
Makes one superior to you or me.
Still others equate class with wealth,
And one with money buys his way.
The almighty dollar opens doors,
Once closed to these people yesterday.
Yet I've met folks with none of these,
Genteel, refined, polite and kind,
They are, to me, true class acts,
The personification of "class" defined.
