Basic computer training

Here are some basic computer moves you always need to know how to make:

1- Creating a folder. Inside folders, you will save all your files and folders are the structure of computer information organization, just like all the sheets in the office. You need to know that each folder can either be a real folder or a virtual folder. A real folder has all the files on it and you can see them exactly where they are. Virtual folders contain files from search results. The advantage of them over the normal ones is you can quickly see all your computer information on just one single place, that folder, and you need just to change some characters to change all its content immediately. Also you do not have to organize all the information manually when you change something.

2- Creating and using email. I see people everyday sending faxes and letters and still making phone calls because they just do not know how they can use the email for all their daily and business needs. Go to Gmail and open an account. After that you can see your email and you can now send emails too everyone in the world. Do you want to email Vladimir Putin? You can. Do you want to email Barack Obama? You can. Email is the most important tool on the internet. There is nothing you cannot do with email. It's so powerful that you can even install a small piece of software on your computer that will use use its space as a hard disk that stays online. However, some companies do not allow you to do this so if you are not sure check their Terms of Service first.

3- Using customized search. Most people use Google general search... That's not bad if you are a computer beginner and you just are looking for some general information. However, as you progress your computer skills, you will start to look for something more specific and this is where custom search comes. You can create your own Google search engine that will search just one website or all the websites you want. For example if you like Helium as much as I do you might want to create a search engine on Google Custom Search just for that like I did. This way if you want information, just search for it on Helium.

4- Webpages are now the number one way to show or present information. More and more people are trading the old .Doc files for .htm files because they can use them anywhere, they can post them anywhere, but most of all because of the program needed to open it. HTML is now the file of the moment and you need to know how it works so you can have your own information online. Some programs like Blogger and Wordpress do not need any HTML expertise, but if you learn it the better for you.

And this is some basic computer training.
