Should PetSmart stop selling live animals? No they shouldnt. Why? Because it gives the animals a better chance at life. What they should do though, is make the people buying the animals take an application to see what the home situation is going to be like before the animals go into it. They need to go to a good home. They dont need to go to a home where the owners are going to kill them or use them for some kind of bait or food.
Another reason why I think that they shouldn't stop selling the animals is because it is better for them to sell the animals, then the animals going to a shelter or kennel where they aren't going to be taken care of as well. I have been to PetSmart countless times and they take really good care of their animals, unlike kennels. They are doing a good job making sure that these animals are staying out of places like that.
When you walk into a PatSmart, look around sometimes at the habitats they have for all of their animals. What do you see? I see homes for the animals. I see cover for the animals. I see food all the time in the cages for the animals. D you see that at kennels? And why shouldn't PetSmart keep selling animals? PetSmart is taking care of the animals even before they give them to other people. PetSmart buys animals from people to stop neglect, abuse, and to stop people from taking their pets to the pound/kennel.
I myself would rather have PetSmart sell my animal or give my animal a home, than a kennel or pound. They are people that I trust with animals. I trust that they will insure the animals safety when it leaves the store. Can the kennels? No, because when that animal leaves the kennel God knows what kind of illness that animal has, whereas PetSmart vacinates all its animals and they keep doing it even after that animal has left the store.
So all in all, I would say that they are doing a great job and deserve to continue selling animals into homes that are loving and not abusive. I have gotten countless animals from them and I have never had any problems with them. They were always clean and fed when I got them and they never died because of an illness. I have sued kennels before because the animal I got has died right after they got home because a sickness they got from the kennel that the kennel has known about. I have always won my battles.
So please everyone, choose to have them still sale pets. They are very trustworthy.
