dollar bill into her palm. Quickly obliging, Molly scooped gobs of ice cream into a white plastic bowl and handed it to him, along with his change. Thanking her, the man turned to leave.
"Oh, excuse me sir?" she called after him, her question pushing at her lips, waiting to be asked. He glanced over his shoulder, looking mildly surprised. "May I ask you a question?"
"Uh, sure. Go ahead."
"Are you anyone's favorite person?" She liked this question. It really made people think, the only downside being that occasionally it upset them. She hoped he wouldn't be one of those people. The man's countenance portrayed a mixture of confusion and bewilderment as he stuttered out a response, avoiding her inquisitive gaze.

"To be perfectly honest, this is probably the most interesting. No one has ever asked me a question like that before," she said, winking. Molly smiled, taking it as a compliment. She enjoyed the fact that she often added something out of the ordinary to someone's day; something that they would remember. "Sorry to ruin it for you though," the woman added, shrugging guiltily, "I suppose I am just a boring, old lady. I'm sure you were expecting some great story. "
"No, no," Molly replied, grinning in a reassuring manner. "Everyone always has a different type of answer for me. I'm glad I made your life a little more interesting." After taking care of her bill, the woman took her milkshake and started towards the door, waving goodbye. Still pleased with herself, the Scoops employee busied herself wiping down
