Unusual places in the world worth visiting

This planet we live on offers us beauty beyond words. Every country has its own special region that takes your breath away with the magnificence of it. it is certainly thrilling to travel to some places that are a geological wonders that you may know about already or maybe not? They are certainly some of the most unusual places in the world worth visiting!

The Wave

This awesome sight lies on the boarder of Arizona and Utah in the United States. This rock is made up of 190 year old sand dunes that over time have turned to solid rock. To get to this rock you have to hike for three miles but it would be so worth it to get a glimpse of the wonderful formation. It is absolutely stunning. These rocks appear to be frozen in time just as the sand rolls through the desert but it is as if was frozen exactly where it laid. This red rock stunner is spectacular. It is one of the most awesome sights that you will ever be witness to. There are really no words that would describe the beauty of "The Wave".

Antelope Canyon

This is located on Navajo land near Page, Arizona and is the most visited and photographed slot canyon In American Southwest. Both of these canyons are found within the LeChee Chapter of the Navajo Nation. What a beautiful jewels the Navajo have in these canyons. Their beauty is beyond words. The two photos you see here is the Upper antelope Canyon or The Crack and the other is the Lower Antelope Canyon or the Corkscrew. Both of them drip with beauty that is seldom found looking as wonderful as this. It is the most visited and photographed site in the United States and it's easy to see why. This canyon includes two separate, photogenic slot canyon sections. The Upper Antelope Canyon was named by the Navajo as "Tse' bighanilini" which means "The place where water runs through rocks". They named the Lower Antelope Canyon "Hasdestwazi" or "spiral rock arches".

The Great Blue Hole

This beauty is located in Belize approximately 60 miles of the mainland of Belize City. This hole is almost perfectly round which goes to show you Mother Nature is perfect at times. This is one of the most astounding dive sites that can be found anywhere on earth. The water in this hole is 480 feet deep and it is this very depth that gives this hole such a brilliant blue color. It is indescribably beautiful with the awesome color blue of the hole against the blue of the ocean is beyond belief. It is certainly a place to see.
