Music is meant to be heard, performed, and danced to. Songwriters need to share their songs if they want them exposed to others. They need publishers and artists. Even though there are books with lots of addresses to chase, it is so much easier to just click a button to listen. You either want to listen again or move on to the next song.
New fans keep the artist motivated. Sometimes it is a stranger who may inspire a new song. We all share emotions and dreams. Everyone shares the web. It would be nice to see more of the big artists set up web sites to help newcomers.
I remember ten years ago when everyone helped everyone on the web. It was new and exciting so we all shared information. Back then we were labeled explorers. Now, it is a sea of division where greed has raised it's ugly head once again.
What a shame when change divides instead of pulling closer what is needed. The world lies at our feet through keyboards, pixels and mice. If one song could change the world, this would be the place it could be shared and heard.
