Poetry: A gentle touch

by Kelly Ismail

Created on: April 05, 2009

For nine months I carried a sweet little dream

A little girl was then born to me

So gently I touched her tiny face

Counted each finger and caressed each toe

And have watched for the past ten years at how much she's grown

I remember the moments when she was just three

Gently picking daisy's and flowering weeds

Finding as many as she could just for me

With her gentle touch not a petal was missing

And each gift was presented with lots of hugs and kisses
