Do you believe in miracles? When people talk about miracles, they infer that they are God's favors. Somehow they think they are the handiwork of a divine negotiation. To assert this statement, first we have to know, as a fact, that God exists. The only proof that we have to uphold this knowledge is in mythological books called the Bible, the Koran, or the Torah. Let us not forget that the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and so many other ancient cultures had their own gods and goddesses. Even in this so advanced world of today, the believe in some ancient deities still exists. In the Amazon jungle in Peru, there are many different native tribes that have their own language and deities. Nowadays these beliefs are mixed with Catholic beliefs forced onto them by the Spaniards, under the threat of death, when they conquered them.As you can see, there are too many creeds and beliefs in this world for us to accept the idea of a real all powerful being that not only created everything, but once in a while is compassionate enough to grant favors to a few chosen ones, failing to take care of hunger, disease and any other demise that those unchosen have to bear. All these powers and moods that our divinities are invested with are too human like.On the other hand, science blunders away their own wonders brought on by advances in technology. They even try to explain the creation of our universe with the unlikely theory of the "big bang."The "intelligent design" and the "big bang" theories are both wrong. They both try to explain something that they do not understand with the self imposed limits that our mind possesses. We believe that we are here to rule, that everything in existence is for us to do as we please. Contrary to our beliefs, we are here as a tiny part of the universe as a whole. We have to understand that in nature the concept of time and space does not exist. The universe is formed out of many dimensions, and we happen to live in one of them, the third one. Our ability to comprehend the whole of existence is limited to our dimension, so any sense that we can come up with is limited to our narrow view of the whole. All our judgments are the product of our ego. Just take a look to our culture, history, beliefs and societies. All of them had the seal of our immense ego. We can not conceive of a world in which we are not the focus of existence. We are more than that, as part of the wholeness of reality. We have always been, we are, and we will always be.In the universe, we are not counted as individuals. We are a tiny part of the wholeness of nature. I do not believe in miracles for the reasons stated above. When we feel they do happen are probably a product of our all powerful mind.
