Testimonies: I watch the Pro Bowl

There has been alot of talk lately about the NFL canceling the Pro-bowl. They say that the game doesn't matter, that the players are out of shape, that they shouldn't have to risk getting hurt, that no-one watches the game.

Well I, sorry to admit it, watch the Pro-Bowl. In fact I savor the Pro-bowls every play. I sit with my last beer, and my last buffalo wing, and try to digest the knowledge that this sweet sport will be no more for 5 more months. I try to digest the knowledge that on Sunday's there will no longer be an excuse not to do the laundry, or fix the sink, or go to the sports pub. Yes I watch the Pro-bowl. I watch it to cheer my players, and to know that they still can smile when they play and that we still have talent and maybe next year.....

I watch the Pro-bowl and I see everything great about football that you don't get to see in the regular season. Smiles, and camaraderie and friendships, and sportsmanship that the creme of the crop bring to the greatest game. Sure the Pro-bowl doesn't mean anything in wins and losses, but it shows me that it just isn't about the money.

Yes, this is my testimony, I watch the Pro-bowl




And the skills contests, and the beach flag football game .....
