My childhood brought me to the glade, the small rolling field outside of the old city wall, and, when bounding about with Ajer, my best of all friends, I discovered a small tube, in it, was a scroll of many words. It was written in the language of the beginning, an old and odd script. I shouted for Ajer, and we made our way to the Tuin, the great citadel of learning. The attendants were amazed at our discovery, and made us hurry to Olthed, the wisest of the elders. After he unrolled the paper, he sat, adjusting his specs, and then started to read the strange words.
The scroll read:" Hark upon my writing, stranger who has found this. You hold in your hands the truth, for I hall write to you of the time of troubles. The story the evil filth left out, the blamers who spoke of deciet, and who nearly had us all killed. Read this, and go tell all your people, if they still be one, if there is still an empire. Speak of this, and note my name at the end, for even after centuries, I shall presume, you may know my name."
" This happened as it did, I was a witness to this, although of young age, but truthfully, I was there. I was with Mordok, Gran Vizier of the Temple of the Faith, father to all that is good. It was Mordok himself who asked me to write of the truth, because he knew it would be lies that were in truths place. He knew it. And so, my fortunate one, you will now discover events , honest events, during the time of troubles."
" When the great Preator, Aliek, was young and strong, he wed Cyra, and she gave him four strong sons, Vidicus, the oldest, Ihan and Leup, and the youngest, Ank-ay.The Empire was good, and the people prospered. Aliek and his Knights befriended many new people, the Empire grew. Even the Hyrkos, the most evil of Barbarians, feared Aliek. Although the Hyrkos allied themselves with the Ijinies, it was an uneasy peace. The Ijinies were content with the sea, and the island lands. Unlike the Hyrkos, who sought nothing but capture and slaves."
" As the years went on, Aliek fell ill, then died, but rather than making his eldest son, Vidicus, the Preator, he did a strange thing. he named Cyra, his wife, the Preator of the land of our people. Many were taken aback, and many were stunned. But not Mordok, he saw that Aliek made a wise choice, Cyra was kind and just, and Aliek felt his wife would rule well. The four sons bowed to their mother as thy did their father, all in abeyance to the new Preator, even though it be a woman. Don't believe what you may
