Poetry: A gentle touch

"God and Mom's Gentle Touch"

God and Mom's most

gentle touch,

are always needed

ever so much.

In a little white casket,

that rests on a hill,

over sixty years ago,

I remember it still.

A breathtaking day,

oh how could that be?

Amid sunshine and roses

you were taken from me.

My angel, my baby

my precious, my own,

I sorrow no longer

for you soon will come home.

The Bible has promised

and God's word is true,

a resurrection will awaken you.

As much as I love you,

He loves you more.

You see, my little one

asleep in your grave,

It's only the Lord,

that can truly save.

As soft as a rose petal

is a Mom's gentle touch.

But God's love is stronger,

and He will bless us so much.

For I have read God's promises

over these last sixty years.

A new world is coming,

a world without tears.

And oh how happy,

wonderful and grand,

these loving gifts will be

from God's gentle hand.

(Rev. 21: 3,4)

"He will wipe out all tears from their eyes, neither shall death, nor sorrow, nor pain be anymore."
