lonely stranger
A lonely man walks along a road,
his tattered clothes shredded from age
he looks towards the cars that pass
wondering where they have to go
his mind is lost trapped in a time he once lived
his past lies along the road beside him in a gutter filled with mud
his thoughts ramble off his tongue in a rhythm only he knows.
The world passes him by, and he begins to smile,
his mind is his home, while the road lies ahead,
No where to go , no destination in mind
.
the walk itself is his life.

When I lay down to sleep at night
An evil thought goes through my head
I think about the fight we had
When you told
Cursed
I do believe I have a curse
It has been around since before my birth
And believe you me, nothing is worse
Than this big

How does life exist outside my window?
And how does my breath no longer know
The danger of solitude?
I sit alone in this sometimes
I'm sitting on my porch steps with the urge to cry-
waiting for the phone to ring, ready to die.
The stomach tosses and turns
Where is this place called Dignity
Where is this place called dignity?
There was a time I thought I knew
with certainty,
yet
