Poetry: When you look at me

by Shannon Torri

Created on: January 29, 2007   Last Updated: May 18, 2007

I drove alone today on a silver highway,

in the fast lane, same old song on my mind.

New chapter to begin, new tale to tell,

I sing against the wind,

it's violent thrusts whipping against my skin.

I am who I am, you may not understand,

For you have lost your self along the way.

I discovered a girl afraid of herself, now

a women who found herself.

You didn't really know me, maybe you'll see

I am forever grateful you let me go,

Now I can be............ me..........
