Poetry: Handle with care

by Joanne Lynch

Created on: April 04, 2009

Come now and take her,

For I will not last,

My days are now numbered,

The cancer's spread fast.

I write to her letters,

About all that I care,

My morals, my ethics, my dreams I do share.

I give all that I have and all that I'll be,

My daughter, my life, my true destiny.

Come now at last,

I'm fading fast,

I whisper to you what I cannot bear,

"Love her for me and handle with care".
