How Long Should Someone Receive Welfare

The word welfare can cause some of the biggest and most conflicted debates around. There are many who think a person should get welfare for as long as they need. Others feel it is for the weak and lazy. Then there are those who feel welfare is something owed to them. I myself feel strongly that welfare should be given as long as a person needs help. However, no one should be able to misuse it, which I know happens a lot. When I say misuses it I mean blankly frauds the system this person or persons should not receive welfare.

To give a good clarity on what I mean I will tell a brief and to the point story of fraud, that makes no sense. There is a woman I know personally who receives welfare and section eight housing assistance she has four kids none of who live with her and have not live with her in over five years. Yet she has somehow manipulated the system where they have no ideal at all. She has lived in big five bedroom houses that would normally rent for about $1500 dollars a month she pays a mere $100.00 dollars. All her utilities are paid through Department of Human Services. I forgot to mention she has had worked for the hospital making a minimum of $13.00 dollars and hour. She offers no assistance to help care for her children monthly. Granted she may go out here and there and spend $1000 dollars on her children but it should be noted that she has four so that is not a lot when you look at the all she gets by claiming them. Now if this fraud is not enough she has gotten into a relationship with a man who happened to own a home so they put a plan together to get his house listed on the housing assistant list so she could say she rents from him and he get the check sent every month for the landlord. A check that is $1400 dollars a month sent by the housing department through our tax dollars. This to me is a person who should be immediately taken off and not allowed any benefits yet she has managed to do this for 5 years.

This woman actions are hinder someone who needs it there is another woman who has a lot of kids receives nothing from welfare and has applied to section 8 many times and told the list is closed. She works everyday to care for her children there was a brief period where she had received assistant in the past. Although even then she still provide majority of their care with the help of her husband. Both who work and maintain for their family a good life. . The few times they did seek out help they were
