Quality Time
Can I have an ice-cream
Can I have a doughnut
Can I have a ride
In a red and yellow speedboat
Can we look in rock pools
For limpets, shrimp and crabs
Can I keep them in my bucket
Can I please, please can I Dad
I wanna ride on a donkey
I wanna paddle in the sea
I wanna build a sand castle
Please Dad will you help me
Watch me in the sea Dad
Watch me I can swim
The water's really warm Dad
Aren't you coming in
Can I play crazy golf
And have a go on the slide
There's a little train over there
Can I go and have a ride
It's been a great day today
But I'm glad I'm in my bed
I'll see you in the morning
Goodnight, and thanks Dad

checking my clock
and oh my goodness
almost died of shock!
Slept in too darned late
right past the
I want to spend a day at the beach,
building tall castles in the white sand.
I want to gather colorful seashells,
hold them
