As I sit here and dream
of a man I have seen
In a vision, it was so sweet.
His smile and his eyes,
I feltparalyzed
I could hardly feel my feet.
in a moment I was sure
I had discovered the cure
I waited for, seven long years.
Just one gentle touch
would have done so much
for a heart that is beating inside.
But instead of that touch
That I dreamt of so much,
I'm sitting here, wanting to hide.
For I don't want to change you
but oh how I need to
know that man He said you would be
The one who would hold me,
The one who would lead me,
The one who would set me free.
So get off that couch
And begin to reach out
With that soft gentle touch to my face.
Capture my heart
Like you did once before
Come live a life filled with grace.

too afraid to run.
