There was a time I had begun to think
That youth was wasted on the young.
Now that I had time to do things,
Doing them wasn't as much fun.
But then my eyes were opened,
Had a brand new revelation, too
I realized for the very first time,
I could do whatever I wanted to do.
So instead of wishing to go skating,
Or swimming once more in the surf.
I found a lot of fun things to do,
Right here on my own turf.
I've already traveled all over the world,
Been north, south, east and west.
Now, I've settled myself in the very place.
That I feel suits me the best
And, I can continue to move around
Freely from place to place.
Because I am blessed to be able
To take trips in cyberspace.
That's why I feel so highly-favored.
Well loved and very much blessed.
Cause I can continue to trek around
Right here on this Internet!
And of all the things I love in my life,
The most important things,
Are loving my family and my friends
And all the pleasure and bliss that brings.
I love to cook, I love to write,
Play the piano keyboard and pc.
I make web pages for fun and profit
And of course, I write poetry.
Yes, my life is full and passionate,
I no longer feel my youth was wasted.
It prepared me to be who I am today,
It's like my old life was cut and pasted.
Into this new mold that was formed
To spread abounding joy and love,
So my blessings would continue
To flow from up above.
You see life has many lessons, and
If we're lucky enough to learn them,
We can experience great joy and peace,
And know we really earned them.
See, I had to learn to forgive my enemies
Although that was very hard at times.
But I wanted God to forgive me,
For all those sins of mine.
And the hardest thing of all I guess
The duty I could not shirk
Was to learn to forgive myself.
That took a lot of work.
I believe if I was any happier,
And if I felt any more alive.
I'd think I had gone to heaven,
Gone to heaven and died.
So, the lesson here for me was
You don't grow old gracefully.
You just grow up, finally grow up.
And become who you were meant to be.

Life is like an endless game
Where all that's different stays the same
We grow up, yet we still feel small
We take a stand

Your Contradiction
Play your cards sister
Isn’t it fine the way
You draw bold lines of skepticism
Over what I did,
Growing Up Gracefully
There was a time I had begun to think
That youth was wasted on the young.
Now that I had time to do things,
Doing
if i promise
never to ask you again
will you let me
do it one more time?
ok, but if i
let you do it
one more time
will you promise
never
When you're gone, life is a mess of opposites.
Whirlwind after tornado
Before hurricane during rainbow.
Inside and out
