I see it lying still and silent under the lines of years and grace.
The child that had once been.
Freedom, wild, young, freedom beats still in the heart that has grown chaste.
Some moments the wild fire of youthful freedom flames, grow red, hot and leap in her eyes.
Yes, though her words are careful and quiet, the evidence is still there.
That youthful freedom, that wild glory, shall always be a part of you.
Oh, to taste such wild, freedom that is powerful enough to emblazon itself upon a soul, would be a pure joy.
My beloved never forget, never let it lie too long, remember the taste and feel of it.
Wild, freedom, still flows through your soul, forever a part of your being.

I watch from my window each evening at dusk
As the herons fly home to their roost
They come one by one - or sometimes in flocks
O'er
I long to run wild and free to chase rainbows,
to be infused with all life's goodness,
to have blessings chase me and
I know what you see when you see me,
A creature to keep in captivity
So, you wish to abduct me,
And hold me hostage indefinitely
Encounter
Light and dark at play
across the dappled water
I hear the frost break
underfoot, like glass
