Poetry: Wild & free

by Marissa Sealey

Created on: April 04, 2009

I see it lying still and silent under the lines of years and grace.

The child that had once been.

Freedom, wild, young, freedom beats still in the heart that has grown chaste.

Some moments the wild fire of youthful freedom flames, grow red, hot and leap in her eyes.

Yes, though her words are careful and quiet, the evidence is still there.

That youthful freedom, that wild glory, shall always be a part of you.

Oh, to taste such wild, freedom that is powerful enough to emblazon itself upon a soul, would be a pure joy.

My beloved never forget, never let it lie too long, remember the taste and feel of it.

Wild, freedom, still flows through your soul, forever a part of your being.
