Please Handle With Care: It's my heart, you see.
It was tattered and torn,
Beaten and bruised.
It had been stomped on,
Tired, thrown away and used.
Love I gave, yet a
Battering I got.
Broken, my heart,
Lay to rot.
You said you loved me
In more than words.
Love I said
Was for the birds.
Love no more, too much suffering.
It's not for me.
My heart can't take it.
We're not meant to be.
You pleaded and begged,
For me to give you a chance.
I cried, I whined, I laughed
And then, we danced.
My heart in pieces
tended with delicate repair.
I hand it to you,
Please handle with care.
