The Spider
I saw a spider web in my doorway.
So beautifully designed.
It prevented me from passing through,
sitting perfectly aligned.
The spider chose my doorway,
fencing me safe inside.
The spider guards my doorway,
encouraging me to hide.
I'll stay behind.
I'll stay behind.
Maybe it came to shield me
from a world exceedingly unkind.
