Permitting injustices, evil, and unwarranted suffering does nothing to bring peace. Too many people these days see no value in ridding the earth of terrorists and evil dictators. Virtually every news story about the Israeli-Palestinian "conflict" tries to equate the military actions of the Israelis with the terorist actions of the PLO and PA.
Former Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu, offers the most accurate definition of "terrorism" and how it differs from legal, sanctioned, military operations. He states that "terrorism" is defined as violent actions against civilians and other non-combatants, in order to create fear, for the purpose of advancing a political or religious agenda. The Israeli government does not do this. Their actions are designed to do exactly the opposite, that is protect non-combatants and citizens from terrorists.
The world got better with the loss of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and Lenin. Likewise, today every terrorist that dies makes the world even better. When Saddam Hussein was removed from power, the suicide bombings in Israel dropped dramatically, because it was he who was paying families the equivalent of $10,000 for each child they blew up. Removing him from power stopped the flow of money from Iraq to conduct terrorist operation in Israel.
Arafat intercepted much of this money from Iraq and let a few hundred trickle down to the parents... then tell those parents that the reason they didn't get the whole $10k was because of the greedy Jews.
Ignorant hippies thought that giving Yassir Arafat the Nobel Prize for Peace would make him stop his calls for Jihad and genocide, but it only encouraged him to kill even more. And the money he collected for that prize went into bombing schoolbuses, discoteques and pizza parlors.
To those who think that Iraq was a mistake and that we simply need to take the time to reason with these genocidal maniacs, I'll leave you with one of my favorite quotes from a great man.
"Mental illness," "nervous breakdown," "maladjustment," "anxiety neuroses," "broken homes," "sibling rivalry," etc., etc., ad infinitum have too long been convenient excuses for vicious and irresponsible actions. Anyone who says "we must try to understand" those who make life miserable for those undeserving of misery is aiding and abetting a social cancer! The apologists for these rabid humans deserve any clobberings they get at the hands of their charges! Mad dogs are destroyed, and they need help far more than the human who conveniently froths at the mouth when irrational behavior is in order! It is easy to say, "So what!-these people are insecure, so they can't hurt me." But the fact remains-given the opportunity they would destroy you! Therefore, you have every right to (symbolically) destroy them, and if your curse provokes their actual annihilation, rejoice that you have been instrumental in ridding the world of a pest! If your success or happiness disturbs a person-you owe him nothing! He is made to be trampled under foot! IF PEOPLE HAD TO TAKE THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR OWN ACTIONS, THEY WOULD THINK TWICE! ~Anton LaVey
